Welcome back to Max Coffee, who are sharing with us a limited edition that was so popular it has been added to the main menu!

Back in 1999 they started roasting coffee in the Bay of Islands. Max Coffee was born in 1999 in the Bay of Islands. Since then, Max Coffee has grown, changed hands, and kept roasting the good stuff — always staying true to that original spark.
A fair few billion beans later, it still seems like a decent idea. Coz they’re pretty keen on making properly good coffee. And then doing stuff. Like moving your body. Or making something. Taking a random turn. Getting sweaty. Getting muddy. Having a crack at something you’re wildly underqualified for, just coz you can. After all, you’re hurtling through space on a giant rock. Seems rude not to make the most of it. So they’ll sort the coffee. You just drink up, then get amongst it. Live your Max.

Max Coffee are a speciality coffee roastery that believes in the power of movement. Whatever you’re chasing, they’ll help fuel you to get after it. They roast on a Probat P25, which was a new to them when it was installed last September. It's been a great upgrade to the business.

This month you are sampling Karamea, which is a blend of a washed Mexican and Honduras and a natural Brazil. The roast characteristics you can expect are one of a Lighter/ Medium roast with low acidity and a smooth syrupy body. Tastes like Butterscotch, amaretto, cacao, creme brûlée. Head here to read the full bio, it’s awesome!

No the team at Max are really pushing the boat out on this one, but a flat white is their favourite for this blend. Give it a go! Then head to https://maxcoffee.co.nz to get the whole back story and see their extensive range.
