Matakana Coffee Roasters maintain the vibe of a boutique roastery and yet are NZ’s 2nd largest independently owned Coffee Roaster. They are also founding members of the Matakana Farmers Market, 25 years later they are still there every Saturday.
In addition their Coffee Roastery and Espresso Bar are located immediately alongside the Farmers Market. The Coffee Company is deeply connected with Matakana’s Community of Artisanal Growers and Producers.
They roast on a beautiful old and very large Petroncini Roaster and distribute nationally with a product range featuring the famous House Blend, “The Village Market Blend”, plus an Organic Range and Single Origin Coffees. Presently they also offer a Swiss Water Treatment Decaf blended from Ethiopian and Nicaraguan beans.
This month we are pleased to introduce you to “The Village Market Blend’ exhibiting a flavour profile of rich dark chocolate, with hints of stone fruit and hazelnut. Roasted to that precise moment at the very beginning of the second crack when the beans develop their optimum flavour and aroma.
