We make gifting easy! Simply pick the your preferred gift box and choose your preferred size (250g, 500g, or 1kg) and bean type (whole beans, espresso or plunger grind) to be delivered to the giftee of your choice. Each delivery is sent out on the 20th of the month. We'll hand write a message from you and include it in the first box. Just write the message for us in the 'cart notes' (under the Gift Box in the shopping cart) and don't stress if you've missed this part as we'll drop you an email if we can't find your message.
The first delivery comes boxed in our beautiful artist print. Subsequent deliveries come wrapped in tissue and placed in a satchel.
Be sure to enter the right address when asked for a delivery address during checkout.
We'll drop you an email with a copy of an electronic voucher to gift while your giftee awaits their first delivery.

We’ve partnered with the worlds most trusted payment gateway ReCharge that supports subscription billing via a Credit Card. It’s a simple easy process where you’ll be charged on the date of your first purchase and from then on, overnight on the 14th of the month for your delivery shortly after the 20th. There are no hidden fees, lock-in contracts, ain't nobody got time for that! Drop us an message if you'd like to make any changes to your subscription.
If you want to make a change to your subscription or gift subscription, drop us a line. We can make sure address, variant, or size changes get processed.
Send us an email with your new delivery address and we'll make sure all the changes are made to get your coffee to the right place. If your coffee has already been dispatched, jump online with your tracking link (emailed to you) and use the online function to change address.

The coffee roasters we partner with are predominately "fair trade" and/or they sustainably source directly from local farmers in the bean belt. We work really hard to make sure the coffee we feature is of the best quality and is ethically sourced. With this being such an important topic in the coffee scene, the majority of NZ Roasters hold these values.
We use courier satchels from Better Packaging Co which are made from cornstarch! You can chuck these in with your food scraps and deposit it into your home compost or a worm farm if you’re so inclined! Normally when a product says ‘compostable’ it doesn’t mean you can put it in your home compost, as domestic compost heaps won’t generate enough heat to break the material down. With ours, you can. Our courier labels are also biodegradable, there's no need to remove them off the satchel before putting in the compost!
All of our printed material is printed locally in Auckland and done using the most eco friendly methods.
Our tissue paper is from NoIssue and printed with soy-ink made from soy-beans, unlike the usual petroleum-based ink. Their tissue is also acid-free and FSC certified. Noissue also go the extra mile by running an eco-packaging program alongside businesses who use their products, where they plant a tree for every order made!

We aim to get all coffee orders out on the 20th of the month. We ship via Courier Post and target overnight delivery for NZ deliveries (allow +1-2 days for rural) to make sure you get the freshest coffee possible. International shipping (to AU and the UK) can take up to 10 business days.
You can track your coffee via the tracking number that will be emailed when the coffee is dispatched.
Shipping is free for all of our subscription boxes to non-rural addresses in NZ! We deliver to most locations across New Zealand. Rural delivery is available for +$5, please allow an extra 1-2 days to reach you. At the moment can’t deliver to islands in the Hauraki Gulf – sorry guys we think you’re cool but our current courier company just can’t do it.
We have international shipping to Australia and the UK! This costs +$10 which is added on at the check-out. Standard delivery times vary depending on your location but range from 3-10 business days.
The beauty of On the Grind is that you’ll get a different brand of artisan coffee each month. You can trust us that we spend hours picking the right coffee for you.

Fresh. We get our roasters to roast to order, send direct to us and then we get it out the door. Literally.
