Can you believe it’s October already? We sure can, what a year. We’re excited to share our October roaster with you though – enjoy a cuppa and take a breather from the craziness of this year.

Merito Coffee Roasters was started by Hans Pronk back in ’07 after years of pulling espresso's as a barista. Merito is now well known in the industry as roasters of exceptional specialty coffee and have five espresso bars across Auckland. We think their ethos is wicked; they’re all about the relationships they have with their community and are keen to ensure the future livelihoods of families - from the farmers who grow their coffees to the communities their coffees are served to.

Roasted on a 30kg Toper, we’re trying their most popular blend, Elegance. It’s a mix of Brazil, Sumatra and Guatemala with notes of Blueberry, Dark Chocolate and subtle citrus. This is a medium roast with good body, pleasant mouthfeel and great for many brewing methods!
